As a result of the impact of COVID-19, Blue Ribbon Legal has introduced changes to our work practices to ensure the health and well-being of our staff and clients.
Our staff will continue to work remotely, however in-house conferences and meetings have been temporarily suspended.
Where possible, client files will be accessed electronically – either via external link to LEAP or similar platform, secure Dropbox link, or USB.
If your files are wholly or partly in hard copy, please contact our office by telephone or email to arrange door-to-door collection anywhere within the Sydney metropolitan area. We can usually arrange collection within 24 hours, and our usual business policy that we do not charge any additional fees for this service remains unchanged.
If you would prefer to arrange delivery with your own courier, please contact our office so we are aware – we may provide you with an alternative delivery address to ensure there will be someone available to accept your files.
We will continue to provide:
· itemised bills of costs for assessment or taxation
· estimates of recoverable costs and advice on negotiations
· compliance advice
· conduct of costs assessments
· preparation of submissions, objections and responses
· expert evidence for lump sum costs applications
· costs recovery proceedings
Court services are currently restricted – documents will be filed online where possible, but where this is not currently available (such as costs assessment applications) we will liaise with the Court to ensure applications are processed.
Costs recovery or enforcement proceedings may be delayed during this period also – for example, bankruptcy notices now have a 6-month compliance as opposed to 21 days.
We look forward to continuing to work with you.
Stay safe, and take care of yourself and others.
